Remain Steadfast

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58

Paul encourages the Church to remain steadfast in faith, holding firm to God’s promises, persevering through trials, and trusting that our labor in the Lord is never in vain.

We too have a word of encouragement and gratitude. We are pleased to share that the giving in the first quarter of 2026 has exceeded that of the prior 3 years. So much so that it’s the first time in recent memory where Hebron’s budgeted need has been met, and in this case, slightly exceeded on a year-to-date basis.

That is indeed blessed news in light of the giving shortfall in 2025 and the 8% increase budgeted for 2026. We are reminded once again that God’s faithfulness has never wavered in the midst of our challenges. Through every season, He has continued to provide, sustain, and guide Hebron to the praise of His glory.

“Hold on!” you say. The weekly eNews shows we’re still falling short of our weekly need. That is true insofar as the weekly report is based on the last 52-week average. But the funding shortfall has been diminishing thanks to a strong start to 2026. It is a testimony to renewed commitment, trust, and obedience among His people at Hebron.

But we must remain steadfast. Recall Jim George’s imperative to finish well, “It’s not how you start that’s important, but how you finish.” Let us give with prayerful hearts, trusting that God will multiply what is offered and use it for His glory. Together, we can continue the momentum we’ve begun and finish the year strong.

More importantly, giving is not merely about meeting a budget. It is an act of worship and a reflection of our trust in God as our provider. Paul further encourages us to give “not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). Our continued faithfulness enables Hebron’s ministries to grow, reach others, and serve our community in Christ’s name.

Thank you for your faithfulness, your generosity, and your commitment to God’s work through Hebron.
